This small book is an invitation. It is an invitation to see, perhaps for the first time, a gospel that is not about behavior management but about being. The ideas presented here are not new; they are as ancient as the Church itself, rooted in the teachings of the earliest Christian fathers. This is a work of recovery, not novelty.
We live in a world that has, in many ways, flattened the radical and beautiful story of the gospel. We have traded the depths of our being in Christ for a shallow set of rules and religious performances. This book is an attempt to reclaim the language of "salvific ontology"—the good news of our very being, saved and transformed in Jesus Christ.

Community is a heavenly model.
Jesus' intention was to be the firstborn among many brethren so that a community of brethren could bring creation into liberty. He created a community Himself, and yet, there are generations of people who are mad at the Bible, the church, pastors and church leadership because all of those things have been used poorly.
That doesn't make the model bad. The model we were given is still the hope of the world. At Legacy, we're creating communities that feel like family and look like heaven. Community is the solution to all of creation's problems.
