Directors Rick & Lisa Truman and their thoughts on the Legacy Academy of Kingdom Living
For those considering the Legacy Academy of Kingdom Living, I would start off by saying what it is not. It is not a book club, a country club, or a come when you can event.
LAKL is a commitment to show up and walk out heaven here, heaven now, every single week.
LAKL is an agreement to put everything you have into becoming the measure of the stature of the fullness of God!
LAKL is striving to enter the rest God has for each of us while also growing in an ever-increasing kingdom at an exponential rate of speed!
LAKL is the training ground to learn revelatory teaching that will raise up mature sons who manifest kingdom everywhere they go!
The Legacy Academy of Kingdom Living is family at its best!
We were drawn to Legacy because we had been listening to the Chris Blackeby '30 – 60– 100 fold' teaching online, saw that he was going to be at Legacy Church in New Philadelphia the next week, and when we got here we were like, 'Who is this Tommy Miller?' Oh, how we have soaked up the life and kingdom culture this house carries! So, naturally, we came back, fell in love with the people here, and never looked back.
Our favorite book was 'Switch on your Brain' by Caroline Leaf. It gave us personal insight into how we think, what we allow in our thoughts, and how it affects our physical health. It was a game changer! We are so incredibly honored to be a part of all that is going on at Legacy Church and beyond! It is GOOD and it is TRUE!
And outside of church ...
Can you believe it? Rick and I are high school sweethearts who have been married for nearly 36 years. We have two beautiful daughters and two brave sons-in-law, as well as two beagles who are now retired from rabbit hunting.
Rick is the co-owner of McFadden insurance in Carrollton, a third-generation family business. I am a first-grade intervention specialist at Carrollton Elementary and have taught for 23 years now.
Our favorite place in the whole wide world is Estes Park, Colorado.
